Eagles Nest Outfitters, Inc. (ENO)

-This outdoor recreation brand produces travel-friendly hammocks and suspension accessories. For the outdoors enthusiasts, ENO hammocks represent the gold standard. Its hammocks are reliable, durable and—shockingly—fun to use. Like how Coleman products are a camper’s staple, ENO hammocks are an outdoor enthusiast’s go-to accessory.

-ENO primarily sells hammocks (in various sizes) and corresponding suspension straps for relaxing outdoors. The brand also sells outdoor chairs and blankets.

-Not only does ENO manufacture quality hammocks for you to enjoy outdoors, but it also supports environmental sustainability.

 

-The brand applies environmentally sustainable manufacturing practices, such as using recycled materials for its hammocks. ENO commits to using “bluesign-approved” fabrics to limit environmental impacts.

 

-ENO also partners with non-profit organizations dedicated to protecting the environment. Some organizations include Leave No Trace, 1% For the Planet, The Conservation Alliance, European Outdoor Conservation Association and Outdoor Gear Builders. In partnership with Trees for the Future, ENO plants two trees per hammock sold.

-ENO competitors include hammock manufacturers like Wise Owl Outfitters, MalloMe, Gold Armour, Winner Outfitters, Honest Outfitters and Legit Camping.

-ENO uses Instagram and Twitter to inspire creative ways to use hammocks. The brand regularly posts scenic photos of individuals enjoying its hammocks by the swimming pool, between forest trees, up in the mountains or near the snow.

 

-The brand also publishes a blog detailing instruction for assembling hammocks and how to pick the right model.

-While the brand doesn’t partner with individual ambassadors, ENO does routinely collaborate with businesses or organizations to create custom products. Specific brand collaborations include REI, Subaru, GoPro, Supreme and Merrell.

-Yes, I believe its collaborators share similar values of environmental sustainability and encouraging outdoor adventures. These brands’ products can be used together; for example, a backpacker could pair an ENO hammock with Merrell shoes or REI camping gear.

-I like ENO because of its simultaneous commitment to limiting its carbon footprint and to providing outdoor fun. Rather than diversify to many outdoors gear, the brand focuses on creating one thing very well: hammocks. Its products are intended to complement a recreational experience and outdoors lifestyle.
